How We Work
T-TEL works with the Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Education and its agencies such as Ghana Education Service, Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, the National Teaching Council and the National Schools Inspectorate Authority.
Our work is focused on transforming education for development through collaboration with these agencies, academic institutions and development partners.
T-TEL is currently implementing the following projects
In partnership with Mastercard Foundation
The Secondary Education Reform (Leaders in Teaching) programme is a Government of Ghana programme implemented led by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation.
The goal of Leaders in Teaching (LiT) Ghana is to improve the quality of teaching and learning in Ghanaian secondary education institutions (Senior High Schools (SHS), Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) and Technical Institutes (TIs)) so that all young people have the 21st Century Skills and competencies needed for lifelong learning, employability and adult life.
Ghana District Change Project: Managing for Learning

DeliverEd was a research project which sought to build knowledge on how to deliver education reforms by strengthening the evidence base on how governments can achieve policy priorities.
In partnership with the EdTech Hub
This was a research study that sought to evidence the impact of the closure of Colleges of Education due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the switch to Emergency Remote Teaching & Learning on teaching and learning among student teachers and tutors in Colleges of Education.
T-TEL signs Memorandum of Understanding with Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), University for Development Studies, University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, University of Education, Winneba and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
T-TEL has signed partnership agreements with Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), University for Development Studies, University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, University of Education, Winneba, and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as part of the Transforming Senior High School Education, Teaching and Learning (T-SHEL) project to improve teaching and learning in the Colleges of Education and building strong foundations for continued collaboration on teacher education reform over the next two years. As part of the MoU, T-TEL will work with the other institutions towards the implementation of the T-SHEL project.
